Science talks about a fourth dimension, time. Our Rishies of yore have always known that. We are born in time, and we die in time, both creation, sustenance and destruction happen in time. We use the word Kaal (काल) for time. We also use the word Kaal (काल) for death, and with that comes the Mother Kali who is the goddess of destruction, the consort of Shiva. Shiva has been given the name Mahakaal ( महाकाल ) that transcends all time.
We don’t even know time properly, we take it to be linear, but scientific researchers have revealed that at some points there are hollows or cavities in time, like vacuum. In the weaving of time, just like a cloth with crisscross weaving having holes in between, there are gaps or holes in time. Entering into these cavities, one can access all time, the present moment of now, the total time, for there it is all one vast expanse of present.
