Richard Bach in his book Jonathan Livingston Seagull narrates a story of a seagull that represents the flight into spirituality.
A seagull one day flies a little higher than the rest and meets his Guru who can fly much higher and even fly without the flutter of wings. The seagull under the guidance of his Guru seagull learns to fly without wings. The most important sentence in the book is that the Guru says that your thought is your limitation. And true only when we transcend our thoughts, it is then that unlimited possibilities open up for us.
All of us develop our own thought cages and are trapped in that. The unlimited is spread all around but we function only within the limits of our thoughts. Once we transcend these thoughts, once we are free of this limitation, we enter the infinite vastness and then the seemingly impossible becomes possible.
