Little knowledge or shallow knowledge is dangerous, but too much knowledge is killing…
Too much knowledge and supreme knowledge differ. Ultimate knowledge frees one from knowledge and also frees those who come in contact with him.
But too much knowledge simply becomes a weapon to exploit others or a distorted activity to gain power. Such knowledge creates a vicious circle of unrest in the name of peace, exploitation in the name of love, bondage in the name of freedom, and delusion in the name of awareness.
A person full of too much knowledge tries all possible means to influence others. He is also engaged in proving himself right and others wrong. Spiritual competitions known as shastrarth were organised in the past by similar type of people.
A supremely knowledgeable person never influences anyone; on the contrary he lives like a void near us. No pressure or influence of his presence is there on us. He is not even visible to us until we are ready to see him. His presence is most un-assaulting.
Ultimate knowledge is that state where knowledge and ignorance both drop. Where there is, neither praise for the knowledgeable nor condemnation for the ignorant, save an incessant flow of compassion.
