People very often continue to give all types of counselling to women in the name of religion or some philosophy. But the irony is that their attitude and thinking for their mother, sister, wife or beloved is entirely different from what they have towards other women in society. This distorted thinking in the name of religion targets only women for imparting moral lessons. They may hardly be saying anything to men for their frustrations.
Society needs to mature, at least in Bharat where women have been respected deeply. Clothes should be decent, should be beautiful, yet one should have the liberty to wear what they wish to. We have to come out of this false morality.
Self proclaimed religious custodians blame the dressing style of women to be responsible for sexual abuse against them instead of frustrated and distorted mentality of people. Now ask these people as to what is the fault in children’s attire when these days even minor girls of two, three years are falling prey to sexual violence.
Society is to be free from all types of insanity and for that one religion is to be supported and reinforced, and that religion is love; Love with its roots in deep sensitivity, understanding and compassion.
We have to strive for freedom and independent thinking along with evolution of consciousness. Instead of presenting man and woman as rivals we have to create an understanding and evolve patterns for their parallel growth.
